Lightly brush or rub a small amount of neutral oil onto the air fryer basket or liner to prevent sticking. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together white miso, honey, mirin, light soy sauce, mayonnaise and grated ginger until smooth.
Pat the black cod fillets dry with paper towel. Brush the miso glaze generously over the top of each fillet. Press finely chopped pistachios onto the glaze to form a crust.
Place the fillets, skin side down, in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness. The fish should flake easily with a fork and the pistachios should be lightly toasted.
Remove from the air fryer. Enjoy with steamed rice and vegetables. Optional, garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds before serving.
