Take your corn game to the next level. This corn recipe is great for any time of the year, not just the summer. I use frozen corn, which is readily available. Adding Furikake and Kewpie mayo results in a savoury, umami-rich dish that adds depth and flavour to the juicy kernels of roasted corn.
Place the corn on a cast iron pan or baking sheet and top with butter. Broil in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the kernels are tender and slightly charred, turning as needed. Watch closely so it doesn't burn.
Once the corn is done, squeeze some Kewpie Mayo on top and sprinkle some Furikake seasoning. Enjoy!

Notes
Add a sprinkle of chili powder or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Use other types of furikake, like wasabi or curry
Drizzle with fish sauce or soy sauce for an extra umami punch.
Grill a whole corn on the cob, spread Kewpie mayo to every nook and cranny and sprinkle with Furikake.
Experiment with adding spices like garlic powder, onion powder or smoked paprika to your furikake seasoning for extra flavour complexity.
